I’m in Information Technology, a remote worker no less. I don’t walk to work, I don’t own a treadmill, I have a wife and 3 kids, I walk from my bed, to my office, to my dining table, and you guessed it, back to my bed… I need help, desperately, and most importantly, easy and stress free. The less, the merrier?

TL;DR

My favorite go-to’s, some with unexpected positive outcomes.

  1. Berocca – “Because I’m indecisive”, All-Sorts variety pack. Vit-C, Zinc, Calcium, B, B, and more B.
Personal Favorite – Berocca All Sorts

  2. Vitamin-D – “Because Berocca is missing it”.
    Personal Favorite – Vitamin D

  3. Magnesium – “Because I got office syndrome”. I can’t see, I can’t see, I’m going bliiind!
    Personal Favorite – Magnesium

This is how I felt, and still feel TBH. But at least now, I’m building towards something. Don’t get me wrong, I’m still quite lazy in how I take my vitamins, trying to reduce the pills I have to swallow.

As with 100% of the rest of the world, when the big C hit in 2020, we turned to doctors and scientists for a cure. But when they failed to instantaneously give us what we want and need NOW in our consumerist fanciful flights of fury, we all turned to Joe Rogan, that beautiful, big, bald, stoner, alcoholic, health nut guru…ish?

Joe Rogan in whatever year he had the flag on the wall

And who did he interview? Vitamin C, D, and Zinc… or rather the doctors that were mystifyingly misleading us with misinformation campaigns from the bowls of Spotify HQ / Dark Horse industries, gave us hope. And hope is what I clung on to. Like a Pitbull Terrier to a child’s face, in between shots of bleach (as per the illustrious Donald Duc…err J Trump instructed us to do), I dared to remove the ISO27001 N95.999 Covid proof mask, and I dumped all variety of vitamin brands from Blackmore to Vita…something or other, down into the depths of my bowls, and felt… nothing, ohhh sweet nothing.

And, to no avail, in 2022, at the end of the pandemic turned endemic (in Thailand), and 2 vaccines later. My kids returned home with a cough. Two trips to the hospital later, my wife had it, my kids came out. My wife came home, then she had to look forward to taking care of me. The kids bounced back in 3 days, myself and my wife took about 7 days.

  • Wife had lingering symptoms for 1 month. No vit supplements.
  • Me, no lingering symptoms, barely even a cough, about 6 months of C, D, and Zinc.

After that, I got lazy. I wanted something more than the flavorless offerings of massive white, orange, and brown edibles that were not half as fun as a hash brownie if you get my drift. I wanted, flare, color, and above all, a multivitamin that actually had decent amounts of vitamins in them. The goal was to reduce intake and maximize effectiveness.

That’s when we ran across B…B…B…B… Berocca gives you back your B..B..Bounce. C, Zinc, copious amounts of B, Calcium even. Finally, a supplement to end all supplements, and 4 different flavors of fizz. Sure my pee went florescent evanescent, but it was better than undercutting my body and giving into the obvious lack of pep I had after my encounter with big C 2019.

The lack of D wasn’t an issue in Thailand, in fact, lacking D is what a lot of Thai people want. But in Melbourne, Australia. There’s a reason we live for the summer months. With clouds being more the regular morning welcome, Vit-D is a must. Since NOW sells half a year or more worth of the stuff, yet another way to reduce purchase times, and increase productivity.

The last step was advice from the wife. Her mum suffers from muscle aches and nerve issues. So she found a supplement that has thus far had an unexpected effect for me. My eyesight. Since taking Magnesium, I have found my eye’s aren’t as dry staring at my screens 16 hours a day. That includes the tiny dumbass devices in our pockets that threaten to suck our souls into oblivion.

I’ll try to keep updating, but so far, so…. ok?
